The promotional posters for the upcoming movie “Land of Beauty” were unleashed recently with Kim Min Sun revealing her back in “painting-like” posters.
“Land of Beauty” uses similar plot as Moon Geun Young’s “The Painter of the Wind”, with the movie also narrating the life story of the gifted artist Shin Yoon Bok. The posters not only display the strong artistic direction found in Shin Yoon Bok’s original paintings, they also have an added pinch of enticement and sexiness in them. Kim Min Sun wore a 6 metres long blue dress in order to fully portray the traits found in Shin Yoon Bok’s original work. The dyeing of the dress took a little more than a week, which is pretty long in my opinion.
The production company said, “The original portrait painting which is widely recognized as the best painting of the Chosun era, will be revived through the posters of this movie”. In this set of posters, Kim Min Sun’s eyes and poses are all filled with allurement, which may hint something that the painting may be in reality a self-portrait of Shin Yoon Bok.
Kim Min Sun ditched her old image to play Shin Yoon Bok and received the praises of the crew members. The crews gave comments like “A similarly gifted actress” and “If Shin Yoon Bok is still alive, she will be something like Kim Min Sun”.
I didn’t know there is also a new movie about Shin Yoon Bok until now, but I’m looking forward to “The Painter of the Wind”, really want to see how “man” Moon Geun Young will be.
